Day 1 : Arrive Auckland
On arrival at Auckland Airport, the ‘City of Sails’. you will be met and transferred
to your hotel. (Self-drive passengers collect your rental car for your exclusive
use until the end of the tour package).
Day 2 : Auckland - Bay of Islands
This morning depart Auckland for your journey north to Paihia in the Bay of Islands.
Day 3 : Bay of Islands
Today is free day at leisure for optional tours, we highly recommend you to do one
of the following activities – “Hole in the Rock” Cape Brett Cruise or a Cape Reinga
Wanderer 90 mile beach tour.
Day 4 : Bay of Islands—Rotorua
After Breakfast at hotel, morning journey from Paihia to Rotorua via Auckland
Day 5 : Rotorua
Today’s half day city tour includes Te Puia and its Thermal Valley of roaring geysers,
steaming rivers and boiling mud pools. Following this, you will travel to Rainbow
Springs to view trout and other wildlife and to the famous Agrodome Sheep Show.
Day 6 : Rotorua - Wellington
This morning depart Rotorua for your journey South to Capital City Wellington via
Taupo.
Day 7 : Wellington
Today is free day at leisure for optional tours
Day 8 : Wellington - Ferry - Picton - Nelson
This morning, board the Interislander Ferry across the Cook Strait to Picton and,
from here take the scenic Queen Charlotte Drive along the Sound to Nelson.(Self-drive
passengers pick up your car directly at the Ferry Terminal).
Day 9 : Nelson
This is a free day for you to pursue your own activities.
Day 10 : Nelson - Greymouth - Franz Josef
For coach passengers, board a local bus for your direct transfer to Franz Josef.
For Self Drivers, you cross the Hope Saddle to Kawatiri Junction before entering
the Buller Gorge and following the Buller River to Westport. View the amazing Pancake
Rock formations at Punakaiki and then on to Greymouth, nestled on the banks of the
Grey River. Continue southwards by coach along the coast to reach Westland National
Park and the glacier region.
Day 11 : Franz Josef
This is a free day for you to pursue your own activities.
Day 12 : Franz Josef - Queenstown
Depart this morning through the South Westland Heritage Park and across the rugged
Haast Pass and Lake Wanaka. This afternoon’s travel is through the Kawarau Gorge
to reach Queenstown.
Day 13 : Queenstown - Milford Sound - Queenstown
An early start following the shores of Lake Wakatipu, and through Te Anau where
you will be enthralled by the immense landscape. Travel through beech forest, passing
majestic mountains, on through the Homer Tunnel in time to board your catamaran
for the Milford Sound cruise. Cruise past Mitre Peak, the highest mountain in the
world to rise vertically from the sea, and admire the Stirling and Bowen Waterfalls
as you cruise out to sea. Return to the pier for the coach back to Queenstown.
Day 14 : Queenstown
This is a free day to pursue your own activities. Queenstown offers jet boating,
lake cruises, bungy jumping, rafting, horse riding, gondola rides.
Day 15 : Queenstown - Mount Cook
This morning travel over the Lindis Pass to reach Mt Cook around lunch time. A rare
opportunity to take an optional scenic flight to view Mt Cook’s snow fields and
glaciers. We will stay overnight at Mt Cook.
Day 16 : Mount Cook - Christchurch
Departing Mt Cook in the afternoon. You may do the helicopter rate around Mt Cook
before we continue our journey to Christchurch.
Day 17 : Christchurch
Today is free day at leisure for optional tours.
Day 18 : Depart Christchurch
Transfer to the airport for your departure flight (Self-drive passengers return
your car directly at the airport).
