Rajasthan, is India's largest state by area. It is located on the northern side
of the country, where it comprises most of the wide and inhospitable Thar Desert
and shares a border with Pakistan along the Sutlej-Indus river valley.
Kerala, often referred to as Keralam, is a state in the south-west region of India
on the Malabar coast. It was formed on 1 November 1956 as per the States Reorganisation
Act by combining various Malayalam-speaking regions.
Goa is a state located in the West India region of the Konkan, it is bounded by
the state of Maharashtra to the north, and by Karnataka to the east and south, while
the Arabian Sea forms its western coast.
Kashmir, archaically spelt Cashmere, is the northwestern region of South Asia. Until

Odisha is one of the 29 states of India, located in the east of India. It is surrounded

Karnataka is a state in South West India. It was formed on 1 November 1956, with
the passage of the States Reorganisation Act. Originally known as the State of Mysore,
it was renamed Karnataka in 1973. The capital and largest city is Bengaluru.
Uttarakhand, formerly Uttaranchal, is a state in the northern part of India. It
is often referred to as the Devbhumi due to the many Hindu temples and pilgrimage
centres found throughout the state.
Himachal Pradesh is a state in Northern India. It is spread over 21,495 sq mi, and
is bordered by Jammu and Kashmir on the north, Punjab on the west and south-west,
Haryana and Uttarakhand.
Gujarat Gujǎrāt is a state in the western part of India known locally as Jewel of
the West. It has an area of 196,204 km² with a coastline of 1,600 km, most of which
lies on the Kathiawar peninsula, and a population in excess of 60 million.
Madhya Pradesh is a state in central India. Its capital is Bhopal, and the largest
city is Indore. Nicknamed the "heart of India" due to its geographical location
in India, Madhya Pradesh is the second largest state in the country by area.
Uttar Pradesh, abbreviated as UP, is a state located in Northern India. It was created
on 1 April 1937 as the United Provinces, and was renamed Uttar Pradesh in 1950.
The Andaman and Nicobar Islands are a group of islands at the juncture of the Bay
of Bengal and Andaman Sea, and are a Union Territory of India.
