Day 1 : Arrival in Cochin

Meet our representative upon arrival in Cochin and drive towards hotel to check-in. Enjoy city tour covering Mattanchery Palace- gifted to the king of Cochin, by Portuguese in 1555, about 500 year old Jewish Synagogue, Chinese fishing nets, local spices market followed by colorful performing art – Kathakali Dance. After breakfast, Proceed for a full-day tour of Cochin. Day 3 : Cochin - Athirappilly (65 kms / approx. 1.5 hours)

Aftre breakfast, Drive to Athirappilly. The charm of Athirappilly and Vazhachal waterfalls cannot be described in words. Perched high above the Sholayar forest ranges on the fringes of Kerala’s famed rain forest, the Athirappilly waterfalls provide a restful escape for those wanting to leave the hurried pace of city life behind. Day 4 : Excursion to Guruyavoor (one way 85 kms / approx. 2.5 hours)

Take a day excursion to Guruyavoor, a famous temple town near Thrissur. One of the most sacred & important pilgrm centres in Kerala, the main attraction in Guruvayoor is the Shree Krishna Temple. Though non-hindus are not permitted inside this temple, exploring the streets leading to the main temple entrances is a fascinating experience. Get close to elephants at the Punathur Kotta elephant stable, which houses more than 60 elephants. Overnight in Athirappilly.

Day 5 : Athirappilly - Wayanad (245 kms / approx. 5.5 hours)

After breakfast, drive to Sultan Bathery set in picturesque Western Ghats mountains of Wayanad with as much as quarter of its total area covered by dense tropical forest & with large tracts under paddy & spice cultivation. Wayanad is a hitherto undiscovered location offering breathtaking views. Spend the rest of the day discovering the enchanting rainforest. Overnight in Wayanad.

Day 6 : Sightseeing of Wayanad

Post breakfast, Visit the Edakkal Caves. It is a pre-historic rock shelter formed naturally out of a strange disposition of three huge boulders making one to rest on the other two with its bottom jutting out in between and serving as the roof. Later visit the Wayanad sanctuary where one can find animals like sloth bears, sambhar (wild deer), elephants, monkeys, tigers, reptiles, deer, panthers, and many species of rare birds. Drive to Thalassery (or Tellicherry as the British christened it during the times of the Raj), a vibrant fishing town in the north of Calicut which is famous for the 3 C's- Circus, Cricket and Cakes. It is known for being the first British settlement in Kerala and needless to say Cakes and Cricket were both introduced here by the British. Overnight in Tellicherry.

Day 10 : Tellicherry – Neeleswaram (245 kms / approx. 5.5 hours)

Drive to Neeleshwaram which is reminiscent of the typical villages in Kerala. Day 1 : Arrival in Delhi

Meet our representative upon arrival in Delhi and check-in at the hotel. India's capital & a major gateway to the country, Delhi is contemporary and a bustling metropolis which successfully combines in its fold the ancient & the modern. Its strategic location was one of the prime reasons why successive dynasties chose it as their seat of power. New Delhi also reflects the legacy the British left behind. Overnight in Delhi.

Day 2 : Sightseeing in Delhi

After breakfast, proceed for a full-day tour of Old and New Delhi. This fascinating city has been in existence since the 6th century BC and has seen ups and downs from the rule of the Pandavas right up to the British Raj. Visit Jama Masjid, which is the largest mosque in India, commissioned by Emperor Shah Jahan. The courtyard of the mosque can hold about 25,000 worshippers. Enjoy a rickshaw ride in Chandni Chowk, the busiest market in Old Delhi…noisy, chaotic and uniquely Indian. You will then drive past to the Red Fort, which was constructed during the rule of Emperor Shah Jahan and served as the residence for the Mughal royal family. It continues to be significant till date, as every Independence Day, the Prime Minister makes a speech from its ramparts as the Indian flag is hoisted. Later, drive past President House and several other government buildings in Edwin Lutyen’s Delhi before you head toward Rajghat, the memorial to Mahatma Gandhi. This simple memorial marks the spot where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated in 1948. Thereafter, visit Humayun’s Tomb, commissioned by Humayun’s wife Hamida Banu Begum in 1562. It was the first garden tomb built in the Indian sub-continent where the Persian architect used red sandstone on a large scale. Later in the evening visit the Qutab Minar, which is the tallest brick minaret in the world; it was commissioned by Qutbuddin Aibak, the first Muslim ruler of Delhi. Day 3 : Delhi – Chambal (310 km/approx. 6 hours)

This morning after breakfast drive to Chambal. Arrive and check in at the Hotel. Afternoon experience the river safari drives in Chambal. The calm and gentle waters of the Chambal River are best explored on boats and the River Safari provides spectacular opportunities to view the wildlife. The Chambal Safari boatmen are exceptionally skilled at cutting the boat engines, and manoeuvring as close to the birds and animals as possible without disturbing them. Day 4 : Chambal – Bharatpur (195 km/approx. 4.5 hours)

Early morning, proceed for wildlife and bird watching in Chambal: Around Bah, Yamuna River meets the Chambal River and the entire area is haven for Bird watchers. The area is maintained by Chambal Conservation Foundation (set up in 1999 by Kunwar Ram Pratap Singh and his wife, local royal family members), is known for Gangetic Dolphins, Migratory Birds, Alligators, Crocodiles. Return to hotel. After breakfast drive to Bharatpur. Enroute visit Fatehpur Sikri, which was built by the Emperor Akbar and is home to many historical buildings. Akbar wanted to make Fatehpur Sikri his headquarters; however, he had to abandon it due to shortage of water. It is the best example of the amalgamation of Hindu and Muslim architecture. The Tomb of Sheikh Salim Chishti enshrines the burial place of the Sufi saint who lived a religious life here. Today, Fatehpur Sikri is a UNESCO World heritage site. Day 5 : Bharatpur – Jaipur (185 km/approx. 4 hours)

After breakfast, proceed for a visit to the Keoladeo Ghana bird sanctuary. One of the finest bird parks in the world, Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary (Keoladeo Ghana National Park) is a reserve that offers protection to varied faunal species. Nesting indigenous water - birds as well as migratory water birds and waterside birds, this sanctuary is also inhabited by Sambar, Chital, Nilgai and Boar. The name Keoladeo derives from an ancient Hindu temple inside the Park, devoted to Lord Shiva. The major attractions of tourists visiting the park are the numerous migratory birds, who come from as far away as Siberia and Central Asia and spend their winters in Bharatpur, before returning to their breeding grounds. Migratory birds at Bharatpur bird sanctuary include, several species of Cranes, Pelicans, Geese, Ducks, Eagles, Hawks, Shanks, Stints, Wagtails, Warblers, Wheatears, Flycatchers, Buntings, Larks and Pipits, etc. Later drive to Jaipur. Arrive Jaipur and check in to your hotel. Rest of the day is free time to walk around in local bazaar on your own. Overnight in Jaipur.

Day 6 : Jaipur

Today, enjoy a full-day sightseeing trip of Jaipur, also known as the ‘Pink City’… it is famous for its colorful culture, forts, palaces, and lakes. The old city of Jaipur is painted pink, which gives it a magical glow. Visit the Amber Fort… a fascinating blend of Hindu and Mughal architecture. The best way to explore the fort is to ride up to it on elephant back. Later, stop to photograph the beautiful Hawa Mahal, also known as the “Palace of the Winds.” This beautiful façade with its ornately carved latticework windows is made of pink sandstone. Post lunch, visit the City Palace… again, a synthesis of Rajasthani and Mughal styles. Later, visit the Jantar Mantar Observatory, comprising geometric devices for measuring time. You will also visit the Albert Hall, which was modeled on the Victoria and Albert Museum in London and is a fine example of Indo-Saracenic style of architecture. The balconies of the palace provide panoramic views of the Lake Palace Hotel and Jag Mandir on one side, and the city of Udaipur on the other. The paintings, mosaics, intricately carved 'chhatris' and the architecturally brilliant facade all contribute to making your visit to the City Palace a truly memorable experience. Thereafter, visit a picturesque garden, Sahelion ki Bari. You will visit also visit Jagat Temple, which is dedicated to Goddess Ambika- a form of Goddess Durga. Set high in the ranges of the Western Ghats in Kerala, is the Periyar National Park and Tiger Reserve. Periyar wildlife sanctuary has a picturesque lake at the heart of the sanctuary. Herds of playful wild elephants have made Periyar Lake their favorite haunt for frolicking in the water. They can be witnessed bathing and swimming here. Enjoy a boat ride on the lake to view the wildlife at close quarters. Day 1 : Arrival in Bangalore

Day 2 : Sightseeing in Bangalore

Day 3 : Drive to Mysore (140 kms / approx. 3.5 hours)

Day 4 : Drive from Mysore to Hassan (120 kms/ approx. 3 hours)

Drive past Red Fort, President House, India Gate and several other government buildings in Edwin Lutyen’s modern Delhi before you head to Rajghat, the memorial to Mahatma Gandhi that marks the spot where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated in 1948. Thereafter, visit Humayun’s Tomb, commissioned by Humayun’s wife Hamida Banu Begum in 1562. It was the first garden tomb built in the Indian sub-continent where the Persian architect used red sandstone on a large scale. Later in the evening visit the Qutab Minar, which is the tallest brick minaret in the world; it was commissioned by Qutbuddin Aibak, the first Muslim ruler of Delhi. Overnight in Delhi.
